We were there around two in afternoon so they were slow.
Positives
They take reservations
Cute restaurant with all the parrots
Like the reference to Green Bay Packers

Negatives:
Food was below average
Cup of soup was served Luke warm
Flatbread appetizer tasted like pizza sauce!
Charged $6.95 for a non alcolic daiquiri
Waitress did not seem to understand English very well drink order was wrong

A better choice would be Doc Fords Rum bar and grill which has better food and much better view and they also accept reservations and they are near the Parrot Key.

First time visiting Fort Myers Beach and we saw the billboard for Parrot Key while we were in traffic. Decides to not go over the bridge and head to Salty Sam's instead. Great move! Got right to the place with no traffic. They have a marina with boat rentals, so we took out 2 kayaks and paddled around the bay for a few hours. Once we got back, we decided to get some drinks at Parrot Key. Sat by the water and had cocktails called Permanent Vacation. Then decided to order some appetizers. Tried the Curry Mussels and the Crab/Avacado Stack. Both were very nice. This place had a very laid back tropical vibe. There was a band setting up when we left, but did not hear them. They are playing again tonight, so we will probably check it out. Definitely worth the visit.

waited 30 min. for our first drink (even the lemonade for our grandkids) - service very bad, the waiters shirt was dirty as well (maybe his washing machine was broken) - fish was served cold but the oysters where warm - had a quick look in the kitchen (unfortunately after dinner) - will never go back there !!!

My husband and I had been there several years ago and we remembered that it wasn’t great at that time. However we had family staying with us and they wanted to eat by the water so we took a chance on it.
The view, although not spectacular at all, was the only good thing about this place. The food was bland tasting and fried shrimp were small. Unfortunately they forgot to put alcohol in our cocktails. There were 3 children and 4 adults. Our waitress was very nice and did offer up her suggestions on their best selling entrees, most of which we tried. Wouldn’t go back!

There must be new management here as I have always loved this place on my yearly trip to fort Myers. Would have been better off going to McDonald’s. Shrimp and service used to be excellent. Now hands down some of the worst food service and drinks I’ve ever experienced! Do yourself a favor and steer clear. Bartenders don’t care staff cares but my 6 year old could have done better job frying the shrimp and fries. Absolutely a travesty as we always talked all year about coming here to eat.
