Called here on Saturday abt 5.30pm. Place has been transformed since I was here last, with new proprieters. Bright & cheerful, with plenty of helpful staff.
We had Chicken Supreme, with roasties & broccoli, House Burger (which was huge) with onions and salad & a Seafood Chowder with lovely brown bread. Everyone professed themselves happy. Decided to have a dessert also. Two went for Chocolate experience, which was 3 large scoops of chocolate icecream - nearly licked the plate! They offered a selection plate to share, which I thought was a good idea, and they also had a mini dessert plus coffee. I went for this, as it was light, but was served in a "shot" sized glass with a teaspoon. Very difficult to get out, and disappointing. This was only criticism as we really enjoyed our visit and will be back again. Only a short distance from City, and no problem with parking.

Heard a lot about the westward hoe reopening was looking forward to visiting and wasn't disappointed. Had starter wings that were amazing. Had the burger was perfectly cooked accompanied a sweet and sharp tomato relish and the crispy onions finish it just right. Had no room for desert . Staff friendly nice atmosphere. Great experience all round

Came here recently for breakfast on my friends birthday! We both got the pancakes , they were to die for! Our server Amy really looked after us as well! She was so lovely and friendly and checked up on us but not in an intrusive way which we appreciated. Will definitely be returning to try out the rest of the menu. Such a pleasant experience.

Had heard great reviews about the newly re-opened Westward Ho so one dreary cold evening my husband and I decided to give it a try. It was nicely busy and very cosy so we settled in to explore the menu. The menu is quite short which is a good idea. No point in places trying to do a vast array of dishes as this can put off the casual diner. We both opted to skip a starter in order to leave room for dessert - but more of that later! I had twice roasted pork belly with black pudding mash - absolutely delicious, while my husband had the most amazing burger ever. Service was efficient and most pleasant. Portions are generous so we reluctantly opted to share a dessert. We had the most gorgeous chocolate fudge creation - scoops of rich chocolate ice cream with honeycomb. Huge and we were very pleased we decided to share! Prices here are very reasonable making it a very attractive mid-week treat option that won't break the bank. Lots of parking available and while it's a little bit outside the city it's well worth a visit. The fish and chips also looked very good!
