Great food and love that the will prepare your catch for dinner. Been to two of the 3 places. The buildings are something less to be desired but the food makes up for it. Great prices and great food and staff.

Thank Ben S

We stopped in on the reviews of Trip Advisor. We ordered the seafood platter since everyone raved about it. The fish was overcooked and tasted like plastic, the scallops were tiny, hush puppies were good, shirmp was small, oysters were tasty, etc. Service was good. Not sure if we will give then another try.

We visited Family Coastal as part of a weekend on St. George Island. We had researched local restaurants and decided this one would fit the bill. One thing that attracted us right off was the pricing. Living in a coastal tourist area ourselves, we know prices can get pricey. The restaurant was quite full when we got there and parking was a little bit of an issue. We got a table right away. It was a bit cool that nigh so we opted to eat inside. We ordered the seafood platter for two and received enough food easily for three and maybe four. We could pick four sides as each person got two. We were told we could get our cole slaw off the salad bar. I was a bit surprised we could basically help ourselves to the cole slaw. It didn't take long for all that food to arrive and it was quite tasty. The service was prompt and friendly. We took our leftovers to enjoy again the following night. There were other options on the menu if seafood is not your thing, and other certainly other types of seafood/fish dinners. But we feel like we really got the bang for our buck there. Next time we are down that way, we will certainly visit again.
