This place was bad from the beginning. No parking due to renovations and front desk clerk was very rude and snappy. Tried to check in early but couldn't although other people were checking in constantly. Went to the nasty small pool for a couple hours and came back up at 3:30 to see about the room. Same rude lady talked down to my fiancé as if he were a total fool. After much arguing (mostly from her) we got our money back and went the Emerald Shores were we should have been the whole time. Waste of time!!

Stayed on a Thursday. Hotel is being remodeled and everything was in good working order. Good shower and bed. Breakfast consisted of waffles, coffee and maybe bagels pretty much, no meat or eggs.

Room had a balcony with ocean view.

Would stay again.

Not only is this place a dive, The front desk person is rude and insensitive.
My daughters key became deactivated and the front desk person would not let her in her room ( which is prepaid for the next five days) because she said she can not afford to make new keys and they already issued her a key. but this happens all the time. The front desk lady said she needs to go find her roommates or wait till they come back to the room. this was at (9:00 pm and the roommates were not expected back until after 2:00 am) Is this even legal? I know it is not safe.

This is an older hotel fairly close to the pier. This is the third or fourth time we stayed here. I called a couple day prior to arrival to confirm my room location over looking the ocean and requested to be away from the tiki bar next door. The front desk ladies were great. I propped the door open before going to bed to listen to the ocean. We ate at Bob Evans on the way to the flea market the next morning. We love the location and price. The room was recently redone. Basic but clean. We plan to return here.

Room Tip: Call ahead to avoid the loud music at the tiki bar.

booked this in july 16 for a trip in mar 17....we requested a sea view but when we got to the hotel it was charging extra for sea view which we weren't expecting...it was in a good location on the beach but that's all it has going for it...breakfast was waffles and grits and that's it....we didn't get our room serviced on the day after we arrived and the valance sheets on the bed have been used over and over by guests and haven't been changed...the walls in the halls were flaking paint and were just repaired with cement..balconeys were a nice addition but again we had to clean the furniture before we used it.wifii was crap the further up the floors we went ...the girls were nice on reception and were very helpful...

Room Tip: if you are booking rooms with sea views ....they charge extra on arrival
