“Terrific Thai food”

There is a wonderful small Thai restaurant right under our nose in Wilmington and has been there for 2 years. It is the Southeast Kitchen on Delaware Avenue near Trolley Square. The Banh mi was terrific, with crunchy roll, as well as the Pho was wonderful and the spring rolls too. This is a modest place. It has about 12 small table which can be pushed together. No tablecloths, no frills, no alcohol and no alcohol 'de-capping' license. or whatever it is called, when the buraucrats permit a restaurant to open a bottle the customer has brought in himself....so, it's water or soft drinks....Walls are painted in shades of plum color to pink and benches along the 2 walls and chairs and tables are dark and all together it looks attractive. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating and patient. Drawbacks are: parking is on the street and when they get busy, they don't answer the phone to take a take-out order, so you have to mosey on down yourself and wait .....and/or eat there.

Really good Thai/Asian food. Casual dining and takeaway. Authentic flavors. Has all the popular Thai dishes and some specials.

One of the best places in town. Food is fresh and yum, service is friendly, prices reasonable. Favourites include lettuce wraps, crispy spring rolls, any grilled meat or seafood over rice, baby bok choy. Can be v v busy around 7-8p. Terrific place.

I am an avid fanatic of Southeast Asian food but especially Thai and Vietnamese
We have friends in Glen Mills, Pa and get together for lunch every four weeks
This weekend was our turn to pick a place and after searching I settled on Southeast Kitchen as every review I read was informative about the food and all gave it high praises
The restaurant is small but laid out in a way that you are not crowded by others and still have privacy to converse
We ordered the Thai Papaya Salad but were disappointed when our server told us none was available that day
We then ordered the cold summer rolls, one shrimp and one tofu and both were excellent
The tangy peanut sauce was also great
We also ordered the Chicken Larb salad and found the melding of sweet, tangy, sour, spicy and tartness to be extremely satisfying and refreshing
The Chicken Lettuce Wraps were delicious as well and my only issue here is that the portion size comes with three and I feel it should be made so as to each guest can have one and price it accordingly
The rest of our order consisted of the drunken noodles with tofu (different than at other restaurants) but well prepared and delicious, the Tom Yum Goong soup, spicy and tart, sweet and sour and again delicious and a large portion and finally two rice bowls with grilled pork on which the pork was tender and deliciously grilled
I had originally wanted a Pork Bin Ma but they did not have them available today either
Before we finished we ordered the Tofu Pad Thai and although intended to come home with us, we ate most of it as it was also well flavored and prepared
Here is small restaurant doing things right, from great service, to very fresh quality ingredients prepared using original Thai cooking methods
They deserve continued success and I for one k ow that my friends and I will return as often as possible
Kudos for an outstanding job

First time here on a Saturday night - busy! And with limited time since we had an 8 PM show at The Grand (Bruce Hornsby and Ricky Skaggs, excellent). Regardless, service was quick, and our dinner arrived with plenty of time to enjoy it. My Pad Khing (with shrimp) was spicy and just the right amount of heat for me. My wife had the Lot Na Yot Phak (also with shrimp) and really enjoyed it. Delicious, fresh, great value, and as a BYOB, an even better deal.
