Over labor day weekend my family and I went to Salt Air. We called at 9:30 to make sure they would seat us. The hostess said no problem come on over. We got there at 9:45 and were a party of 6. Most places would have an attitude at a large party coming so late in the evening. We were greeted with a large smile and whisked to our table. Our server Kara was great. She took time to go over the menu with us a it was our first time there. She recommended some appetizers that were fantastic. The food was incredible and the service was even better. We will definitely be back there. Great job Salt Air!

One of the best restaurants in the area. Food is excellent. Good selection of wines. Unfortunately, difficult to get in. No reservations...

While they don't take reservations, if you can find a spot at the bar, you can sample their fine assortments. The happy hour is really tasty, as well. Only a few beers on draft, but if you like cocktails, the mixmeisters are always working up something swell. A member of the Big Fish family, your dining here gets your points toward a discount at meal in the future. An excellent treat and fun decor makes for a great experience. Parking on Wilmington is a tad easier than the main drag during high season.

We'd never been to Salt Air before, but were so glad we did - it's destined to be a place we return to repeatedly. The food was excellent, and the ambience is casual but lovely, with great, attentive but not cloying service. One of us had the seafood stew, loaded with fish and seafood, incl salmon, scallops, mussels, shrimp and more, in the most delicious seafood broth I think I've ever had in a fish stew. I had the scallops dish, with grilled corn, which was delicious. We shared a dessert, a Bailey's flourless torte, with raspberries and fresh whipped cream - wonderful. Can't wait to return!
