We stopped here for lunch on the way out of town and was a good change and deli experience. Listen it's not Carnegie (now closed) or Harold's but it's pretty darn good for Delaware. We had the pastrami Reuben and soup combo which was very good. My suggestion when you are slammed is to offer to bring the soup out first to keep people from getting hangry. We didn't think if it until it came out and would be a simple easy way to keep customers satisfied when the kitchen is behind. We enjoyed our lunch and will be back again next year.
Stopped here with my kids to grab a sandwich but never expected to pay $14 for a kids meal and that didn't even include a beverage. $9.00 for 3 small chicken tenders. The waitress said we could do fries instead of chips but failed to mention it was $5.00 extra. Never paid this much for kids meal anywhere especially at a deli !!!
I'm sorry that you feel the way that you do, but the way you keep saying "kids meal", I get the feeling that you think that we're McDonald's, and we're far from it. We are a 97 seat restaurant, with an attached deli, at a resort. The prices were well marked. I'm not understanding why the $9 chicken fingers entree was a surprise to you. As far as the fries are concerned, if the server did not do a good enough job explaining that they were extra (what other restaurant lets you sub fries for potato chips, for free?), I'd be happy to refund your $5. I appreciate the 3 stars; apparently you found the food was good, and was just upset at the price of the chicken fingers. Again, I'm sorry that you feel the way that you do, but please let me refund your $5. I hope that a $9 "kids meal" is a bit more palatable. We appreciate your business and thank you for giving us a try. I hope that the quality of the food, and not the price of the kids meal, will be enough to bring you back for another try. We are a Best Of Delaware award winner, and have been voted one of the top 10 restaurants in all of Maryland. Thanks again. Please contact me through our website with your address, and a $5 check will be sent to you.
It was a nice place to get a deli sandwich. The pickles they serve you are very good, would have like to have had more. The sandwiches were big. The wall art was fun to look at while you wait for your meal. They are pictures of famous Jewish entertainers. They have a wonderful selections of deserts. The service was a little slow and I thought the prices were a little high.
We are New Yorkers, and ate at Katz’s just last week. We stopped here for breakfast this morning without any expectations. My brother sampled the corned beef and it was so good he ordered a sandwich for breakfast. He pronounced it one of the best he’s had. I got corned beef hash and eggs. I could hardly make a dent in the huge portion. The corned beef was actually better than Katz’s! (Though Katz’s corned beef can’t touch their pastrami). It truly was the best I’ve ever had. 5 stars. Really.
My wife had lox and eggs that came with
Latkes! Terrific.
Come here. You’ll be happy.
