“Wonderful place to escape to nature”
Review of Northwest Park

I love NW Park. We are lucky to have such a place in Windsor. It is an expansive park with a fenced in dog park, miles of trails that almost anyone can walk, an animal barn that houses Donkeys, Goats, Sheep, Turkeys and other animals, and a great nature center where you can learn all about the environment. This park is a great place to go on a date, bring the kids to see the animals, exercising or just a place to escape. The trails are pretty flat with only a few small hills. There is even a hidden dinosaur fossil way back on the Jurassic trail that you should check out. Bring your lover, bring your kids, bring your dog or bring yourself. You will have a great time enjoying nature at NW park.

Great place to walk, great playground and great fishing dock.
There is a nice baseball field for local games as well as a pavilion to sit and picnic.
Spent a lot of thine their when the grandkids were young.

Make the Northwest Park Fair a 'must attend' event in September. There's lots of activities for the kids as well as great food offered at reasonable prices.

Sometimes I feel as if Northwest Park is a hidden gem. Often on beautiful weekdays you'll find very few people there, although this free park includes hiking trails, an animal barn and nature center, playground, and picnic areas. This is a great place to take children. They'll love the animals (and playground, of course)! It's also a nice way to introduce them to hiking, as there are some very simple and short hiking trails (along with longer ones for those interested in a bit more than a short woods walk). Some trails are marked with educational signage, as this is a popular spot for local field trips. It's a great place to spend part of a day without spending any money!

This is a very nice location. Will come back for nature walks when weather is better. Very well maintained.
