We haven’t been to Gusto in years and had dinner there tonight. Two of us had pasta bolognese and I had lamb chops. I had to send the lamb back as it was very undercooked. After it came back cooked, it was delicious.

Milford CT on a cold winter night, where to go for dinner? The hotel suggested Gusto so there we went. And we're so glad we did.
From the warm, friendly greeting when we walked in on, it was a delightful experience. Our waitress, Maria, could not have been nicer or more helpful. The setting in the bar area was cheerful and comfortable. The beer and drinks were excellent. Food was fine, not exceptional but also not overpriced and a good value.
We loved the baked garlic that accompanies the focaccia bread. A bottle of olive oil on the table let's you make your own garlicky spread. The caesar salad we split was more than enough for 2 as was the orecchiette with shrimps, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, roasted tomatoes in a white wine butter sauce with plenty of fresh-ground parmesan cheese and black pepper. We were full and happy, so no dessert for us.
All in all, a more delightful dinner on a cold night in a town we didn't know. Really, who can ask for more?

Waiter was outstanding and the service was great. Manager visited the table gave us a complimentary glass of wine. Loved our meals were not rushed and the homemade bread with the fresh garlic was a perfect start.

Drinks were scant. Eggplant was a good appetizer. Cesar salad - pretty good. Good to share. The main course was steak but only okay.

Our kids just moved into Milford and thought this would be a good place for dinner. Upon arrival we weren’t greeted very nicely. The hostess pretended not to find our reservation when clearly it was in the book. She then took us to a table by the door of an enclosed porch where there was a huge party going on.
Our kids both ordered Caesar salads which were so soggy that the croutons were mushy. They both ate 1/2 and when I told our server she said, “oh, sorry!”
I ordered the fish special and the fish had an off taste. My husband had a veal dish that he liked and the chicken parm was okay.
We really felt like second class patrons and will probably never go back.
