Imposing building from the outside. Comfortable tipical english pub inside. Clean and tidy. No stale booze fumes. Toilets spotless. Prices quite good and the staff were very friendly. What more do you want. Would recommend. We go to Northumberland regularly and will visit this pub again.

Stayed here last November but forgot to leave a review....
Firstly we normally stay at the local Travelodge but they wanted £20 extra for our pet dog to stay so we decided to look at the alternatives, we found this absolute gem for cheaper than the Travelodge and you get a fantastic breakfast included, decor wise a bit dated and the carpets are worn in places, but the place is spotlessly clean, and the view over the bay is fantastic, unlike the view over the trading estate Travelodge is on. The staff all friendly and the breakfast absolutely outstanding, and pets are welcome and free. The beds are also super comfortable, and in the room there is a kettle, tea and coffee.

ordered two small fish and chips at £5.95 and a lemonade and a coke . The food came
and was very nice but when the bill came it was £22.65p the driks must have been very
expensive so check the cost first.

My friend and I just called in for sandwich and coffee and could not have been made more welcome. When the menu was given to us we were told if what we fancied was not on the list just ask.I could not decide between cheese savoury and tuna so they made me half and half. It was delicious and very good value as was my friends prawn sandwich. Great food, value for money and friendly efficient staff what more could you ask for we will return
