Don't Bother - Head into town if you must eat in Sterling

565702939

This place is the closest place to eat near the Interstate. Yes, a convenient location. However you will save some time if you drive the 2 - 3 miles into town.

We stopped in to get a quick bite to eat off the interstate. Big mistake. We saw the sign.. wait to be seated so, we did. After a few minutes we were told to sit anywhere.. by Karen.

We sat and read the menu. Karen came by and asked if we wanted something to drink while we waited for the waitress. We should have left right then and there. Further.. we saw at least 4 tables waiting for their food. We should ave known but no.

We took a couple of soft drinks and.. waited. No one receiveved any food. My wife got up to use the restroom. She did and when she returned she asked if we had ordered. lol Not even a visit by the waitress. No Karen to be seen either.

Hey, Ramada... if you are not going to hire staff, why not get the existing staff to you know.. work?

We never did get a visit. I dropped a $5 on the table and we walked. All in all, 20 minutes and still.. NO ONE else had their food.

So... pass Sterling by or go into town.

Breakfast is good, so we usually eat breakfast here on our annual trip out west. It's not fancy but the staff are freiendlya nd accommodating. A big plus if you're traveling is that in 10 years I don't ever remember there being more than a handful of people in it at 8am so no waiting.

Stopped here on the way home from Denver. The sign said to wait to be seated, after a considerable wait we were told to seat ourselves. After 15 minutes and no attention by the wait staff we left and went to the downtown area of Sterling and found a very nice Bistro with good service and good food.
We make this trip several times a year and always stop in Sterling and try different places to eat. I know one place we won't be stopping at in October to visit Red Rocks
