Salto roasts their own coffee. Combine that with a really amazing staff and comfortable atmosphere, and they have the best coffee in town. My favorite is the latte, but I also really enjoy the regular "drip" coffee, which is made in a French press. You can enjoy your coffee inside, next to a giant fireplace, work at one of their great tables, or sip on your latte outside in their great patio. In the afternoon, they offer tacos, beer and wine on tap, and a nice happy hour. Often they have fun events, like a First Friday event that showcases local artists' work, and has live music. And, an added benefit is that the coffee shop is attached to a bike/sho shop which offers bike rentals, ski rentals and subperb bike and ski service.

Breakfast stop on way to RMNP. Great coffee, delicious egg, ham and spinach sandwich, and perfect friendly, quiet mountain vibe.

Driving through on a peak to peak afternoon. Off the main drag, wouldn't of found if not an explorer. Had no idea what to expect but the fire pit in the front courtyard was inviting. Happy hour specials 4 to6 good beer and apps, people's food looked good, tacos, mole, sides. Recommended if your going through town and want to stretch your legs relax for awhile.

Stopped in for dinner ... very reasonable, delicious/well-prepared tacos and the like and adult beverages. Terrific salsa. Nice friendly feel ... great fireplace.

Great place. Larger than I ever thought. Nice selection of espresso and other drinks as well as baked goods that looked delicious. There is a photographer here showing his art and a live music group is about to begin playing. This is first Friday artwalk in Nederland but apparently Salto is the only merchant to display art now. They have a great patio and plenty of indoor space too. The outdoor space has a nice fireput too. Then of course there is the nicely outfitted bike shop attached. They let cyclists use tools because Nederland is at the top of a popular canyon cycling route. Great relaxing stop with the "Ned" vibe.
