Was there for breakfast. Sandwiches looked good but were the sort you could find anywhere. I was just underwhelmed---nothing bad at all, but nothing to get excited by. Nice folks run it.

This is a cute place in Idaho Springs. Rather pricey for what you get. Food was good -nothing terribly memorable though. Probably would explore other options before returning there.

Nothing exciting. Just ok. The mayor isn't very good. My sandwich would have been better without the over powering taste of the mayo.

We enjoyed our first set of sandwiches here so much that we stopped by a couple of days later for a repeat performance. It felt like they used quality ingredients and cared about the bread options, both of which we found to not be givens elsewhere in Colorado.

Cold roast beef is our favorite. That is when it is done right. Our sandwiches were far from Med Rare as a beef sandwich should be. The white bread one, the bread had to be old, dry and not enjoyable. Ended throwing the crust away. The other beef was on Chibata and wasn't any better. OK, can understand the pickle thing and worked for us. The sides are maybe 2 fork fulls. Too bad we took this to go, otherwise we would have sent it back.
Come to Chicago for a good cold roast beef sandwich. They run about $6.95.
Your prices reminded us of what we paid in New York city.
Luckily it was a once in a lifetime stop.
Oh and our sandwiches got lost as we watched people who ordered after us get their hot meals before we got our cold sandwiches.

D D, Thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide a consistent product in a timely manner and always to improve in customer service. As a busy little restaurant in an area driven by tourism will do our best to appeal to a variety of personal taste. As a Chicago home owner myself, I understand the differences that one finds in restaurants as they appeal to different taste (as evident from the variety of pizza found in the Chicago market). For this reason, our Roast Beef is sourced as preferred by the majority of our customer base and for this reason leaves a few without their favorite. Our "rustic" breads are baked fresh in brick ovens by the same artisan baker used for the last 19 years. Our prices are driven by the cost of product and a desire to pay our employees a living wage. Happy dining and the best pizza in Chicago is on the south side: Palermo's on 95th.
