First-time in Grand Lake. Walking around and found Blue Water and liked their menu. Turkey & brie and elk brat. Very good and sat outside with lake view.

We really loved the chocolate-filled croissant we got here. We also ordered a grilled cheese, the tomato soup, a sandwich, and a coffee. The rest of the food was just average. It wasn't bad, but it certainly isn't what we'd describe as "great." Everything was just mediocre (and the soup came cold, had to get it reheated). The staff was friendly overall and it is right in the heart of town. We'd go back to get pastries again, but I don't think we'd go back for lunch or coffee either (we have a number of other restaurants in Grand Lake we go to for lunch that do have great lunch - we love Cy's Deli for lunch and The Hub for good coffee).

We discovered this place a few years back, in downtown Grand Lake it is within walking distance of everything. Just a stroll for your morning coffee, and their breakfast portions are BIG. My husband and I always split something, whether it's a breakfast wrap or a breakfast bagel- and it is always delicious. Hubby gets a coffee, I get a muffin and we split a breakfast total bill is always under $20. Outside seating is available.

We probably just selected items poorly because they had so many options and others around us seemed to be enjoying their food, but the Taos Wrap and European croissant were just really not good. Lacking in flavor, oily to the point of feeling too unhealthy, and made with portions of ingredients that just overpowered the tasty parts. Unfortunately this breakfast wasn't worth the calories or the money.
