The Fraser Valley has stunning views, endless outdoor activities, wide open spaces and people who are very friendly and down to earth. Getting around is easy, there are great restaurants for all tastes, and many fun activities for families. People visit once and get hooked for a lifetime.

This snowshoe hike travels along a Creek called Jim Creek. It's trailhead is in the first half of Winter Parks overflow free parking lot across from the first parking lot that services the gondolas. When coming up the pass it will be on the right side of the resort. A big sign/map will be the entrance to the hike on right side. It is a 1.5 mile flat looped hike with a .8 spur about midway to view a fishing lake. Wooded and a bit of elevation is to be expected. Up and down but considered flat as the rule goes. The trail has boardwalks and bridges which makes the hike interesting. A good place for a first hike in higher altitude if the hiker is in decent shape. Breaking trail should be expected if there was a recent snowfall. Cross country skiing is doable too but be prepared to break trail. Very pretty trail that is easy to get to. Don't need a 4 wheel truck to enjoy this hike.

Old logging and railroad town in the mountains of Colorado nestled against the continental divide. Shopping, restaurants, bars and one very sweet tattoo parlor.

Such a gorgeous area - especially during Aspen season. Beautiful views of mountain ranges and Rocky Mountain National Park! Close drive to Grand Lake, Breckinridge, and more!

Fraser Valley is a great place for an easy hike. It runs through Winter Park and Fraser, but in some spots you can pretend you are far away from civilization. It is always clean and well cared for and they have nature and historical postings along the way. The area is both kid and dog friendly!
