This is a well-established, fast casual Arabic food joint a quick 5 minute walk from the state capitol area. Unlike a soul-less downtown greasy spoon, this place has a nice atmosphere and seems to be family-owned and run by some friendly Syrian-Americans. The server was a nice young man.
The menu concentrates on a handful of classics, including of course kabobs and a handful of sandwich sets. For about $8 we got sandwich and a choice of fries, onion rings or a salad. We had a choice of the chicken or beef shawarma, kufta or gyro meat. We went with the kufta. Our sandwiches were well-seasoned, with a tasty yogurt or garlic sauce and light red sauce.
Good, decent meal to fuel your day visiting downtown Denver. Would definitely come back if in the mood for some hearty street food.
