Amazing place and the staff are ultra friendly I've never said good morning so many times in my life! Pool still under construction so work in progress and getting here by car (from Manila)is awful but worth it. It has that new hotel smell!

Space and hospitality are the 2 things that stood out to me when it comes to Midori. We booked a deluxe room and was told, after a 5-10 minute wait at the reception, that we would be upgraded to a suite. This has happened to us with other hotels in the past so, while grateful for the upgrade, I didn't think much about it. But the hotel staff were very friendly and solicitous as we took advantage of the welcome drinks in the hotel lounge while waiting for our room to be ready.

Upon entering the suite, the first thing I noticed was the space... lots of it. The suite was big, and made more so by the open floor plan. The walls were of dark wood (I normally prefer light walls) but the overall effect was zen-like-- simple, tranquil, open. The bed was luxurious, and the furniture a bit on the serious side but comfy enough. The entire wall facing the roof deck garden was glass, with blinds serving as cover when needed.

The breakfast menu was also great, with a variety of dishes and plenty of hotel staff ready to respond to your every request. The casino staff were just as solicitous.

True, the hotel isn't quite finished yet... the pool is not ready, the grounds were small, etc. But overall, the hotel gave us a nice and relaxing staycation.

We stayed at Midori Oct. 2016 and for me, the price is quite steep considering the hotel is not yet in full operation.  Lacking is the pool & of course the pool side bar, and the spa doesn't offer all their listed services yet.

The plus side though is that the front desk officer (by the name of Whisky) offered us a free room upgrade since the first room given to us doesn't have a queen size bed and there's no outside view, also adding the fact of me having to go down to the reception area as no one is answering my 4 calls.  He explained though that setup of all rooms are really of single beds and that they just connect the beds to make it queen. Downside is that you cannot lie close to your partner as you can really feel the edges of the mattress.

We were given deluxe room where there's a bathtub in the balcony.  Room is very spacious, relaxing, homey well-lit and with all the 5-star stuff and beddings you need.  Toiletries are Acca Kappa and tea bags are Twinnings.  There's iron and weighing scale, umbrella, etc. For the bath tub in our room, the overflow cover doesn't seem to be holding the water as it continually drains although pressed lock.  Also, we need to request for shower curtains to cover the terrace as I soak in the tub.  The garden view is very relaxing esp. in the morning.

The hotel has a casino.  I think the area is quite little but I couldn't really give an elaborate review as I'm not a casino-goer.

There are also several restaurants inside the hotel.  They allowed us to order from a different menu and have the food served in the lounge where we wanted to dine.  The food is excellent!  Including the free buffet breakfast.  There's a wide array and serves Filipino, American and Chinese cuisine. For other choices, there are several restos around the vicinity. Just take a ride and explore the area.

There are lapses and it's a continuing work in progress but we can feel the sincerity of the mgt and staff in improving their services.  Everyone has been polite and helpful.  All in all, we would want to go back here hopefully when the pool is already operating.  Thumbs up for Midori!
