If you have time, this is a good place to hang around from the normal routine or work. It's good to get fresh air and enjoy the walking in the nature to get more exercise.

Santa Teresa Park has some wonderful trails with great views of the Santa Clara Valley. In the spring there are lots of wildflowers to enjoy. There are some easy trails but most are moderate to strenuous. Also, most trails are very exposed, not much shade at all so this park is best visited in late fall, winter or early spring when the temperature is on the cooler side.

I go hiking here quite a bit. The trail accessed from the Joice ranch is brutal at first, very steep, but the views are amazing. The ranch itself is interesting. There is Santa Teresa Springs where there is a small pond with lots of turtles. Very serene and peaceful. We always see wildlife of some kind. Be careful though. There are wild boars and rattlesnakes have been spotted. The trails are fairly well maintained.

Plenty of low key hiking trails - suitable for people who just want a stroll or those who want an energetic but comparatively short hike.

Business travelers who want to get away from the stresses of being in a hotel and dealing with difficult colleagues or customers should head for these hills. No specialist clothing/shoes required.

Then there's plenty of opportunities for families who want to go for a simple picnic in the great outdoors.....

A great outdoor experience for anyone.

We went to Santa Teresa County Park. It is a very lage park (1627 acres). There is a very nice and popular 18 hole golf course.

There is also scenic vista views of the hills where the hiking and bike trails are. In the summer time, the hills will turn brown; iin the winter, its usually green (depends if we have a drought year or not.).

There is a $6.00 use fee for the park. This is collected by the picnic table area. There is a covered picnic table area, as well as picnic tables in the full sun as well as some under the trees.
