As the saying goes, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. We loved our stay here. It might not look like a 5 Star, but it’s clean, friendly and in a great location. Just a short 15 min walk down the hill and you are at the ocean. We did choose to pay to park a few times. Our unit was cleaned daily which is unusual for a resort. Units are being updated. The only thing I would suggest is the units really only accommodate 4 people in a unit that says 6. We had unit 357 and it faced the ocean from a far. Very quiet and great facilities! We can’t wait to come back next year!

We had wonderful family reunion in San Clemente. San Clemente Inn is beautiful. The maids were very good at cleaning the rooms. But the front desk was horrible. They had a lot trouble dealing with group reservations. They gave me a lot incorrect information over the phone. Had a lot trouble checking in the group. They lost paperwork. They made my trip with a group stress full.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the property, grounds, and our housekeeping services. In regards to your review of the Front Desk staff, it can be challenging for group reservations to be tracked properly when all reservations are booked under a single name with no guest information included for those staying in each individual room. Unfortunately, due to our policies surrounding privacy and identity security, we cannot allow a guest that is not listed on the registration card to check in for a reservation. We require the person on the reservation to be present with proper identification. If the point of contact for the group block does not provide a list of people who will be checking in for each reservation in advance and states that they intend to check in for each of the rooms and provide information of the guests staying in each room, we can only assume to follow that request. When some of your guests arrived a day earlier for one night under a separate reservation and stated that the following days would be covered under your block of rooms and paid for by you, we simply requested that we confirm with you the next day as we were told you would be checking in for all of your reservations personally. Your guests were never denied access or told they would be asked to check out the next morning. We simply asked that we reconfirm with you prior to extending their reservation the next day using a room from your group block.

It was never our intent to make your trip stressful or to offend you or any of your guests. Please feel free to discuss this with Management further by calling 949-492-6103.

San Clements Inn is my favorite place to visit. Lots of amenities and newly upgraded. Restaraunt on site and very good. Close to beaches and pier. Love the movie library and ease of checking out. We will be back next year.

We had a very comfortable one bedroom-w/a nice outdoor balcony .
Easy access from parking lot -which we required as have some issues. The staff is always pleasant & eager to help.For a time share , it was nice to have someone come every day to change our towels, coffee etc. Close drive to pier &beaches

Inn is right off I-5, so ask for a room facing the pool and garden with sun almost all day long on the balcony. We had a one bedroom unit which had two Murphy beds in the living room and a Jack and Jill bathroom. Unit is quite small but has adequate drawers and closets. No frying pan in the kitchen that had a two burner cooktop. Sliding door to balcony didn’t slide, so we basically had to lift the door up. When locking door, there was an air gap. Screen for living room window was bent and fell down. Made front desk aware of the problems, but not resolved during our stay.

No planned activities but there are many that you can do on site such as putt putt golf, billiards, shuffle board.

The restaurant on site, Adele, was good. We only had breakfast there. It is not part of the inn, so no charges to the room.

Loved being able to walk down the street to the beach where you can walk to San Clemente pier and North beach either on the trail or on the beach. It wasn’t very busy the days I spent there.

The housekeeping staff was very good with making beds and emptying wastebaskets.

Would we come back? Yes.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the back with pool and gardens which had sun almost all day.
