Overall it is nice hotel. 4 stars. But avoid 3rd floor unless you like walking long distances to your room. Only one elevator on the entire floor and no stairs cases.
No bathtubs to soak after a long day of work.

We randomly chose this magical spot through TripAdvisor and other reviews last minute stop in Paso Robles enroute to San Fran. It’s everything that was said and more. The off season proved to be a nice time to stay without the crowds and the price. Time was spent sitting by the fire in the foyer, roaming the gardens and admiring all of the art around every turn. An empty fridge for your drinks at night along with comfy beds and large rooms. It felt like an Italian oasis in the central coastal area. It’s not among the other vineyards in the hills, but once on the grounds you felt like you were in a secret garden. The TV channel describing the grounds was very informative as well. Highly recommend the Allegretto for your stay.

It is not often that travelers these days get so much bang for their buck and personalized attention at such a nice property. The Allegretto Vineyard Resort has everything and more. The property is relatively new, which is striking seeing so much effort put into the grounds. The old growth vines and trees, the vineyards themselves, the sheep and alpacas, sound garden, pool grounds, table tennis, life-sized stone chess board, and yard games are tastefully allocated around the premises. It truly feels like you've escaped to an Italian villa somewhere. The on-site tasting room even accommodated my children once afternoon with a cheer board in the garden. I couldn't be more pleased and highly recommend. We will be returning!

Room tip: We loved the ground level patio room that faces the pool. It is not directly at the pool so you don't have to worry about noise

Room was comfortable and well appointed, few of carpark was a little disappointing. Experience was only let down by the staffing of the restaurant which was at best confused, often plain rude interruptions of conversation. Table booking pushed outside into the cold because manager wanted to seat a bigger group… we did get seated inside, but had to wait nearly an hour for 2 of our parties food to show up. Shame it could be really rather special.

Room tip: Brings coats as you might get pushed outside to eat

We enjoyed our stay and will recommend this beautiful hotel to friends. The alpacas and sheep enclosure were an amazing and memorable experience. Thank for providing free food for the alpaca and sheep. The animals are so friendly, and location is ideal. Also, the labyrinth on the hotel grounds is a must visit site for guests both young and old. Thank you for a memorable experience.
