I’ve been coming to this hotel since 2017. My first trip was for a family emergency — I had to fly in suddenly from the Bay Area and needed to be in close proximity to the hospital so I didn’t need to rent a car. Triada came up in my search first, so I thought I’d give it a try. This was a stressful time, and I can honestly say a few specific members of the hotel staff made my trip so much easier just by being good people. Gilbert was and still is one of the shining stars of this hotel. He runs the bars (both by the pool and inside) and honestly is one of the best people you’ll ever meet. He’s got the sunniest disposition and the most welcoming demeanor. He’s not just there to serve you drinks and food. He takes his job much more seriously than that. I’ve watched him single handedly take care of multiple guests at once — all afternoon and all night long — with extra attention to detail and a sense of professionalism and humor. He made me laugh in even the worst of situations (losing my Mom) and always made sure to check in to see if I needed anything. When my family joined, he did the same, and whether we grabbed lunch or dinner by the pool or a late drink inside, he always welcomed us with a smile and remembered our preferences. My kids loved him, as did my entire family. When I traveled back in the coming years, he treated me the same way, especially during an extended stay in 2019. I have since moved back to the area and now I come in just to see him, have lunch or dinner and bring friends for drinks. He never disappoints and remembers every person he’s met who has accompanied me. His professionalism and service level is high, his attitude and demeanor the sunniest and he goes out of his way to make my guests feel welcome. I likely wouldn’t be coming back without him there!
