We were seated quickly. No chips and salsa given so when we ordered drinks we asked for some. We had to flag down a waiter to get refills and ask again about chips. Dinners eventually arrived and our request for chips was ignored. Very bland and basic dinners.

Unbelievable!

We were originally looking at a couple of higher rated places, but our Mexican concierge (at La Serena Villas) advised us these were ‘tourist’ spots, rated by tourists, who ‘may or may not’ know what real Mexican food is. This is her local, and it’s authentic as hell.

We ate here on the first night we arrived not PS, after a 5+ hr drive from Vegas. DEFINITELY order the table-side guacamole, and ask the waiters (all Mexican) for their recommendations - the menu is laaaarge!

Fantastic food, great atmosphere (they had a harp-playing mariachi soloist on the night we were there)and very well priced. We’ll be coming back here for sure. Too many things on the menu to order in one sitting

Our waitress was welcoming & a pro; listened attentively & provided great options for non-alcoholic beverages. Took our order quickly and made us feel welcome while there. Patio is BEST OPTION if you prefer a quiet spot to converse. Inside is a "human zoo" with lots of celebrations happening - esp on weekends, and it's super crowded and too loud for those who like quiet atmosphere. Sadly, while or beverages were great the chips were unsalted, flat and the salsa too hot to enjoy. Guacamole looked great but no zip. We had the standard fare but both entrees were so 'flat' we left most of it on the plate. Surprising given their great on-line reviews.

The place was packed on a Friday night, and the only seating available was in the bar, but service was professional - though a bit overwhelmed - and the food was very good. The Oaxacan tamal was unusual but tasty, and the pork roasted in chili sauce was also very good. Noise level was tolerable (given the lack of socialization regarding "inside voices" that the "young adults" seated next to us displayed).

This is in a great location in downtown Palm Springs. The staff were amazingly sociable, and the environment was comfortable. We didn't go for the food, really, but it was just fine. We sat at the outside bar on a gorgeous day and had a great time. I'm sure that every time we are in Palm Springs, we will stop in for an enjoyable, relaxing time.
