What a classic, fantastic place to stay while visiting Morro Bay! My wife and I very much enjoyed our getaway! The happy hour appetizers are not to be missed. Great views! We would definitely stay here again!

The bathroom is small and not particularly well equipped, but the room is very pleasant with a fireplace and a door leading to a deck with a spectacular view of Morro Rock and the bay. I got some awesome sunset pictures! We also enjoyed happy hour with similar stunning views. We'll be back to enjoy the hiking in the state park adjoining the property.

Negatives: 1. Room had an odd odour - sewage type, 2. Walls were paper thin - you could hear next doors conversations, 3. Our room wasn't serviced, even after we asked for an extra blanket and pillows in the morning. I had to go back early evening and ask again and to tell them the room had not been serviced. After terrible service at the desk - being passed back and forward while they were too busy doing their admin on their computers to deal with the customer in front of them - I told them the issues. When we arrived back at the room later, a blanket and some pillows had been thrown in and the room still not serviced. We gave up.
Positives: lovely setting and great breakfast, hard to beat looking over the bay while you have your coffee. We also got a good deal through Hotwire. Shame about the rest. Wouldn't go back

We stayed at this hotel being we got a Groupon deal. After reading some of the reviews, we were a little hesitant in making our reservations. Thankfully we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in room number 521 which is at the back of the property facing Morro Rock. Our room was on the second floor and had a full view of the bay.

The room was decent and roomy. We had a mini fridge ( no microwave), king size bed, and walk in shower. It appeared all the rooms around us were taken being most of the parking spots were full every night. Quiet complex with great view.

The Inn at Morro Bay is a spectacular place to stay. But don't tell everyone otherwise you'll never get a reservation. But seriously this is a dream place: Sitting in my view room this week I thought I was in some European Paradise: Greek Island or a fishing village far far away from my home in Ventura California. An idyllic foreign resort. The cormorants swooped above as they built nests in the nearby trees. The stunning Morro Bay Rock gleamed in the sunlight,(as I sipped a happy hour sauvignon blanc in the restaurant and bar: The still bay water in front of the hotel looked like it had been plucked from a Turner seascape. Staff were great. Melanie Orians at the front desk and the livewire and friendly Liz who served us breakfast. Sorry I can't tell you more because the hideaway will be overrun by too many tourists. End of review!!!

Room Tip: Go for the upstairs rooms with a view to die for.
