We have stayed here a total of five times, but not for the past five years. We decided to comeback after we read a review saying upgrades have been made. We were originally booked into room 521 and it was very rundown and unkempt. We requested an upgrade, which we paid for and ended up in 422. This room was very neat, appeared to be freshly painted and has a great view of the bay and rock. The electronics have been updated including a Keurig and high def TV.The bed is comfortable and we love sleeping with the slider open. It is very quit and restful. Butt don't come here if you depend on the wireless internet connection, which is spotty at best and non-existent at other times. The maid showed up at 10 am which was good, however, we were awakened at 7am by an argument among the staff outside our door. Work out the internet and tell the staff to keep it down and I'll raise my review next time. We will come back.

Dear Guest,

We love the solitude and quiet location of the Inn at Morro Bay. So glad you enjoyed the stay. I've met with our team to discuss quiet time...and we are investing in a new Fiber Optic Wi-Fi system...coming soon!

We hope to see you back soon.

We were very disappointed with our stay here. We paid for an ocean front view. Our room was ocean front but there is a dirty parking lot and broken down fence right in front of our room. There is no patio and no chairs to sit on to enjoy the sunset. There are shudders on the windows and they face the parking lot so at night the headlights of any car parking in front of our room shined right into our room. We also heard everyone who walked by and if we didn't keep the shudders shut people actually were able to look in our room and they did!. There is no bath tub in the room, no air conditioning and no heat. The lighting is very poor in the bathroom and vanity area. The small refrigerator and coffee maker are in the closet. The WiFi signal is very weak and in the morning hotel employees were outside our room having a conversation in front of our open windows. The windows have to remain open because the room is very stuffy. We called the front desk to inquire about moving to another , more quiet room and no one ever returned our call. We walked out our door at the end of our stay and there was a bag of dirty sheets right by our door left there by the staff! We will never stay there again.

The room was small with two queen bed. Has patio with adequate furniture. There is no refrigerator and microwave to heat up delicious left over food. The walls are not well insulated or padded as we can hear the noise from the other room. Pet friendly.

Stayed here in Feb on our way to SoCal. Hotel has a restaurant with great sunset view. Rooms are comfy and the bathroom is gorgeous! There's wine tasting at the hotel as well. Close to restaurants and staff was pleasant.

We went to The Inn at Morro Bay 2 times for drinks and appetizers to watch the Sun go down. The view is amazing, the food and service was very very good. The staff did not rush us even though we did not order full meals. I highly recommend that you take an evening and go and see the sunset at this beautiful restaurant.
