A REAL SIT_DOWN PIZZA Parlor
I really liked this pizza.
It had lots of toppings and lots of cheese.
But the crust and sauce are a little bland.
It’s true I ordered a veggie pizza, but the sauce and toppings were about an inch from the edge and they did not have ant flavor.
Perhaps they needs to be coated with garlic butter or cheese.
They need something to add flavor
The crust seemed cooked well and I really did like the pizza, the outer edges of the crust needed some help;
The sauces was a little bland, but it was hard to tell with all the topppings and cheese.

I would definitely go back.

The ice cream looked tempting and unique, but the price was pretty high for me $11 a pint.

Burger Place across the street upon arrival was supposed to be open, but found to be closed. Walked across to this busy Italian place with its own parking. Got take out Sausage sandwiches in 25 minutes. Pizza smelled and looked really superb as it flew by. Cheerful and cozy indoor setting with friendly, fast moving staff.

We always stop for pizza and a salad everytime we come to Pacific Grove. We have been coming twice a year for over 20 years. It was disappointing not to see the place packed but still have a great staff and excellent pizza.

I just got back from Monterey. My visit there was great Now to the bad part. It was my very first time going to Gianni, and I was very disappointed in there pizza. Extremely disappointed. I got there at 4pm, and the staff was great. Very friendly. I saw that on Tripadvisor that it had a four rating, and I assumed that the pizza must be great. I see an Italian flag outside the the estabishment, and am thinking must be good pizza here. I take it back to my room and the pizza lacked flavor on so many levels. The sauage was cold, no salt. and no flavor at all. Anyways, like i said, friendly staff but not good pizza at all.

Like I said before, been coming to Gianni's from almost the time they opened. Whenever I come back home, they are always a must visit. Sometimes little to no change is a good thing. They still are old school, and the food reflects it! While they have a good variety of things, I always go traditional. Pepperoni pizza, couple of bread sticks (which could be a meal by themselves), black cherry gelato (YUM!!). This time I was a Sunday evening walk in, so I had to wait almost an hour for my order, which I didn't mind. I just sat out front and took in New Monterey. If you're on a schedule they take phone in orders and I see they do Grubhub, but for me that family atmosphere is worth hanging around. Still the best on the Central Coast!
