Comfortable beds. walking distance to several bakeries for coffee and pastry. Walked to the pier, listened to sea lions. Botanical garden is lovely. Enjoyed the table outside our room for eating and playing cards. Although I hoped to go swimming, I was discouraged by covid precautions. That and the cooler marine layer weather.... I was disappointed in the on-site restaurant: Fine dining. The venue was pleasant, but the cuisine too unfamiliar.

Room was comfortable, clean and cozy. Quiet premises and first hotel where the Kerig makes excellent coffee. Ample parking and small community feel. Great restaurant onsite. Staff made check-in a breeze. We left valuables behind but Henna and Carlos stepped up to the plate to help us recover those. Thank you both so very much.
Lg. room with double beds & fireplace decor. Very clean and plush looking. Large flat screen TV mounted on wall. Friendly helpful staff on front desk Easy parking and walking distance to the Wharf. Cons... no reading lamps and only one side table located between the beds. No internet streaming TV channels.

Given the modest exterior, we weren’t expecting the rooms to be so nice. All the front desk folks, night and day, were friendly and accommodating. And the price was reasonable, especially just days before New Years. The high, wooden ceiling and the timed fireplace made for a nice stay. It was close walking distance to all the wonders of downtown Monterey, including Alvarado street. We would stay here again.

BEWARE!!! This hotel has a horrible bed bug infestation. We stayed there one night and after we left, we developed dozens and dozens of red, itchy bed bug bites all over our bodies and faces. It is horribly painful and grotesque. Other recent guests have posted that they have had the same experience and informed the management. Yet the manager Sai claims total ignorance and does not care at all. Stay here at your own risk.
Had a great stay room was very clean vaulted ceilings were a plus central heat and air was great to have usually don't get that in monterey the fire place made it very romantic shower pressure was good nice location close enough to wharf great stay on are 30th anniversary would definitely return thank you
