A really comfy room with quality fittings and superb fireplace....great on site parking and easy walk to Monterey. The hotel is well located for easy access to the stunning 17 mile coast drive through Carmel and access to the west coast route. Fully recommended !

Clearly been updated. The rooms was gorgeous. Big and everything you needed. I guess the only downside is its a drive to get to anything, that didnt bother us though. Still a close drive to everything in this beautiful city.
The only issues was when we checked in and we wanted to change to a 2 queen bed, they states we had to cancel lose that money and rebook. Annoying but no problem. I would stay again

Tried to check-in to our room at the designated time but was told the room wasn't ready but to come back in 45 minutes. We drove around town, came back, tried to check in again but were told it still wasn't ready and to come back in an hour. By this time it was getting annoying. We had dinner reservations and wanted to freshen up before heading out. We came back an hour later and were finally able to check in... at 5:30 PM. Despite the check-in issue the room was beautiful (we had the King room with fireplace) and the in-room amenities were great. Bed was comfortable, linens clean. Would stay here again but confirm early check-in even though we didn't "need" it.

An awesome venue to stay a few days. A bit of a walk, but the benefits are there. Beautiful room, amenities, friendly couple behind the desk. Really modern and updated. Clean and welcoming. The breakfast was the weak point, just packaged stuff as there is no kitchen and you just take back to your room and microwave, but it's all adequate.

This motel is completely over priced, I was shocked when we arrived and went to the front desk and said we did not want to stay as it was not as advertised. They would not refund my card so then followed a farcical debate over the next hour where I was given all manner of excuses, eventually after I called the booking website customer service dept I was told by the front desk manager that I could have a different room at a lower rate. It was that or no place to sleep and no refund. The next morning I asked to check the difference in price had been refunded and I was told the room was the same price and I was getting no refund. More arguing, a threat that I would call the police, I left the totally untrained desk operative to get hold of her manager and called back later that afternoon, at which point there was more waiting around, suggestions of paying in cash and my card being refunded later and all sorts of rubbish. I still don't have the correctly priced room invoice, the lady didn't know how to produce one apparently. Staff are untrained and can't do anything. Room was dirty, bed linen stained, lighting in entire room was hospital operating room/supermarket grade super bright LED with no bedside lamp which did not make the environment relaxing, breakfast a small selection of processed food snacks on a shelf in reception area. Weekend room rate extortionate. Makes a visit to Monterey very sour. Steer clear.
