This is a favorite spot that has been around forever. Great place to stop and eat lunch, get treats like cookies and more and sandwiches to go! They have a small seating area both inside and outside. It gets busy at lunch, but its worth it! The people that run this place are so nice and helpful. I had a great turkey sandwich there on fresh bread. The pasta salad and tuna salads were delicious. Good place to get stuff to go to the beach during summer months. Good soups too!

A bit pricey but good quality ingredients and tasty. Vegetarian sandwich with eggplant was excellent. Pastries all good. Shepherd’s pie very good. The peaches from the farm were great. A lot of the food is grown at the owner’s farm in Julian. One of the first farm to table restaurants in the area. Avoid the lunch rush as it apparently gets very very crowded.

Really a can't-go-wrong deli/bakery/cafe. Plum marzipan tart is a must. The frosted cookies were a delight, with frosting that had a bit of a citrus flavor. We'll be back

We stopped in for a coffee and pastry before taking a cooking class nearby this morning. They had a huge variety of fresh baked goods. Afterwards returned to pick up some homemade food to take home for dinner. The line was out the door (Sunday). Was ok by us, as we got something to go, but there wasn't sufficient space for sitting down. Service was slow at the counter. Food is good. Weekends too busy at peak times .

Over priced for what they offer and definitely needs cleaning!
We tried this place for breakfast. The vegetarian sandwich was ok, nothing special. The baguette was far from what you call baguette. The espresso machine was not working. And before we could sit, we had to clean the tables and the chairs!! The table was literally gray with dust and the chairs had several coffee stains (see the picture). We tried to clean with napkins. Still, it was dirty and uncomfortable to sit and eat there. Overall 17 dollars for a below average experience. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
