An envoy from Essos suggested to dine in this restaurant. The food was exquisite, we ordered appetizers (the beef yakitori was tender, the oysters and clams were tasty, cooked to perfection) and amazing sushi rolls. The ambiance was perfect, perfect in discussing politics and how to take over the Iron Throne. Our servers were courteous and friendly, they made us feel right at home (even if I have never been to King's Landing).

Love the sushi at Japengo. The carne asada and fifty-fifty rolls are amazing! Friendly service, chill atmosphere, and fresh and deliciously-made sushi keep us coming back for more.

Lots of offerings - customization available. The fire roasted oysters are extra amazing! Fresh and tasty -- but a bit pricey.

This restaurant is actually part of the Hyatt Regency La Jolla, but is in a building across the driveway. They have regular lunch and dinner menus, along with an extensive sushi menu. The Red Dragon Roll was excellent, and was a meal in itself. I would also recommend the Fire Roasted Fanny Bay Oysters, which are very large and meaty. A colleague had the Braised Short Ribs, and reported that they were excellent.

Prices for the dinner entrees were a bit on the high side ($28-$40). The atmosphere was generally business casual or better, with a lively (somewhat noisy) background. Lighting is low. Overall, great meals and good service.

I was with a group of people, and the sushi and appetizers were great. The service was good. However, my ticket was divided by the number of people at the table which made it a bit pricey, and I did not eat that much!
