This was the 3rd trip to Noboribetsu. I stayed at Grand Hotel and Dai-Ichi Takimotokan before. Manhobora was the best among the three hotels I stayed in so far. It has more, bigger, less crowded onsens. My family chose to have set diiner instead of buffer dinner. It turned out to be very delicious and served in very comfortable setting. The location od the hotel is also very convenient. This hotel is definitely one of the best in the area. Highlt recommended!

We stayed for 1 night because of the Onsen. we choose the Japanese style room. The room is clean and nice. Outdoor onsen is nice there are few of them, however, is very crowded at night. The Buffet dinner and breakfast is not so fantastic. The food quality is bad and not fresh. This is the worst food i ate so far in Hokkaido.

First the good, huge hotel and everyone is helpful and friendly. The room was large by Japanese standards. The onsen was large and well maintained. The restaurant was fantastic! The dinner was plentiful and tasted great. Lots of crab and Kobe steak available and they were the highlight of the restaurant. Now the bad, the bed was hard and marginally comfortable. The pillows looked like pillows but were actually sand bags filled with what felt like rocks. A request for additional pillows netted the same result - sandbags. Sleep did not come for very long. I was more tired after sleeping than before. Breakfast was a great disappointment. There was no pastries at all. They did have bread which was good but there was no offerings resembling a western breakfast though there were signs announcing they had western style food. Oh, and get ready for pushing and shoving by the other patrons, primarily Chinese. They don’t want to wait in line and act like no food will be left if they don’t get in front of everyone. While we were pleased with the dinner and onsen everything else was OK to disappointing.

Firstly I gotta admit we were here for the three types of crabs buffet and of course the number of baths available. We were not disappointed as every meal exceeds our expectation. Try the wagyu beef as well. The tatami room is very large and laid every evening by the housekeep staff. We love the outdoor onsen especially the one at the lowest level with views to the park. The downside is only the number of tourists in buses that might marred your experience.

Took a taxi to hotel. Did not allow early check-in and check out is at 10am following day. Onsen rotated among genders every other day and contains many pools. Can get crowded especially during designated buffet meal time ... we just focused on eating their free flow of crabs which was fresh! Rooms look really dated though.
