We spent for a whole day here but still the time wasn't enough. There are exhibition of traditional houses all over the world and it's a great place for learning different living life styles around the world ^^ there were some local students visiting to learn them as well♡ In some places we can try wearing traditional dresses or clothes. It's just a trial so I didn't feel so authentic, but still it was really enjoyable ^^ wish to visit again to see the rest of the park
The photo is a traditional house of an ethnic group called "Ainu " in Hokkaido,Japan.

This open air museum is a huge theme park, at 123 hectares, showcasing 22 country areas. At majority of the country areas, one can explore the traditional buildings with the local music playing at the background, try on traditional ethnic costumes (need to pay), sample authentic dishes, browse souvenirs for sale, etc. You can start a round trip of the world with a passport and have it stamped at every country area. There are many toilet facilities throughout the park.

Be prepared to walk at least 2.5 km for complete loop. Alternatively, one can take a bus ride. Buses depart regularly from entrance and go along the circular exhibition's road every 10 to 15 minutes. One can get on and off at any bus stop with a round-trip ticket (500 yen).

We spent 3.5 hours exploring the entire park. Overall, a good experience, though tired from all the walking.

Getting there - From Inuyama (Meitetsu line) Station, head for east exit, bus station number 1. Take the bus to final stop, ie terminal, fare 490 yen, journey 20 minutes.

A theme park worthy a visit. It is supposed to introduce different cultures from around the world. However, some places are run down and don't really reflect the reality of the place or country in question. All in all, enjoy the stroll.

very entertaining place, so many culture here, went here with my friends, you van also rent traditional clothes from different country and culture, as me indonesian, theres Bali and indonesian food here, but they need more description in food menu, like "bask soup" I can see that some of non Indonesian look confuse when saw menu, troupe area is most popular here, but if you don't have car, be careful with latest bus, you can took bus from inuyama station or Sakae nagoya, I recommended to inuyama station and took Meitetsu line to Nagoya will save more money.

An interesting theme park to visit. Could not help but feel the Asian country exhibits were rather dull and run down. Some of these like the Thai village etc does not really showcase the beauty of the country in question. The German and French villages were however entertaining, well kept and had good F&B options.
