Nice local lake, hidden away, spend an afternoon or have a picnic, hike around or maybe do a little fishing
Laguna Lake -- ducks, people with dogs, the occasional horse, shade and sun, fishing, mountain biking -- there is something for everyone. A walk around is about 3/4 of a mile, and it is attached to a couple of other walking trails, one being the Juanita Cooke Trail. There is adequate parking between parking lots and street parking. Bring a picnic: there are tables across the street from the park and on the park grounds themselves.
Beautiful lake for a walk. Lots of trees and wildflowers with plenty of shade and benches. Fishing a plus.
I go there to just enjoy the quiet or to hike the horse trails that connect to the lake. It is a great place to bring your family for a picnic
Laguna Lake is tucked away between the bustle of busy streets. Yet the setting and homes that surround it make it an urban escape. The lake and surrounding areas are well maintained and thanks to a local students smoking is not allowed. Cuts down on trash and makes for lots of breathing room! Perfect spot for a run or walk.
Wonderful park to spend the day with family. Thee are plenty of geese and other birds to watch. The lake is well maintained with great trout fishing in late fall, winter and early spring. In the summer, catfish are stocked and the fishing is good especially at night. There are also large mouth bass and crappie. The Bait house is well stocked with all you need for fishing and food, cold drinks and snacks. I have been there with my wife and young son many times.
