Valley Kitchen sits up a hill inside Carmel Valley Ranch Resort. Some of the tables overlook the golf course and vineyards and some the infinity pool. You can also sit outside (they have heaters for cool nights). We love the steaks at Valley Kitchen but there are many great options depending on what is fresh. There is a wonderful risotto dish, also. We love to go for special occasions or when family visits. We live up the street which means we can walk to the restaurant or if the weather doesn’t permit, a very short drive. The serving staff are all very friendly and accommodating. A very beautiful place to enjoy a scrumptious dinner or lunch or breakfast,

This restaurant is very impressive when it comes to view and food. There were many families in restaurant . Many people seemed to be satisfied with this place like us.

The Valley Kitchen serves terrific food in a casual, yet upscale atmosphere. You can show up in jeans and tennies or get more dressed up and feel comfortable either way. The warm focaccia bread with herbed butter was a nice start. My husband & I then shared 2 appetizers, the delicious crab cake—lots of Dungeness crab, little filler—and shrimp and grits, also very tasty. We had the sea scallop special served on red quinoa. Succulent! There were 4 large scallops, so 2 each came home for lunch. For dessert we had the apple strudel with cinnamon. Ice cream. My only minor complaint was the strudel would have been better warm. All in all, recommend Valley Kitchen wholeheartedly.

Came in with friends that we haven’t seen in awhile. We were first timers eating here. It completely exceeded our expectations. Drinks were wonderful, dinner was even better. Jessica , our server was fantastic. Due to my gluten allergy, she went through the menu in detail and explained each dish I was interested in. I will definitely be back.

The ambience, service and food were spot on!
My wife and I had a couple special requests due to dietary/preferences, and Chef Greg Karjala delivered an amazing meal. Brussels spouts with walnuts and apples w/ balsamic glaze were sublime. We could’ve get enough!!!

Familiar but elevated, elegant, approachable and highly satisfying.

Thank Jeff S
