When in California, you must take the drive down the Seventeen Mile, it is a once in a live time opportunity to see the views, the gorgeous scenery and to the famous road that has been in so many movies. It is absolutely breath taking.

The drive along the California Coast in this region is very pretty. We did a tour so did not have to worry about driving along the twisting road. As you drive along the highway the scenery changes. There is old growth forest, sandy hills, beaches, beautiful homes, golf courses and of course the ocean. There is a stop along the way to view some wildlife and of course a stop at the Peddle Beach Resort is a must if for nothing else than to see the golf course (you can access the 18th green by a path). The scenery is beautiful, the day had sun and our tour guide was very knowledgeable - it was a nice drive.

This is a nice relaxing drive if you are the passenger! My husband might not agree as he was driving the hairpin curves. If you are staying at Pebble Beach you don't need to pay the fee as you are in the midst of the drive aready, just FYI.
