We love floating in Arkansas. The rivers are amazing, but we had never floated the Buffalo River until now. We arrived about 8:30 am, registered and within 15 minutes were on a shuttle headed to the water. Staff were courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We floated the Baker Ford to Gilbert leg and the scenery was spectacular. Bluffs, Clear water and turtles sunning themselves on rocks and logs.
It was a Sunday and the river was busy, but we would stop and let others pass so we could enjoy the quiet beauty of the river.
BRO has a great collection of merch to select from at reasonable prices as well!! We are fans and will definitely return!

We had such a great experience with BRO! Due to it being off season, we were able to walk in on a weekday and got taken right off to the river but if you’re gonna be there in the busy summer season definitely call and reserve in advance! The staff rocks and the buffalo river is such an awesome float! I wanted to do it again the next day! Do it!

This could possibly be the BEST deal and thing to do in all of Arkansas. I’ve lived here for 30+ years and yesterday was my first float on the Buffalo River. First of all the staff at the Outfitters office could not be better - they all were happy, helpful and on top of their game! Great selection of outdoor stuff too all at good prices. We stayed in one of the cabins across the road. They have every thing you’ll need for a fun stay. Right down to cookware and NetFlix for a late night movie. Beds are comfortable. Heat worked fine. We made a ripping fire outside in the fire pit. Ample wood on the ground to burn plus they sell a large bundle for only $7. The PK grill was perfect for our 3 pound Poterhouse steak. Yes it was a monster steak! OMG what a great time we had. Then in the morning the guide dropped us off and we floated 10 miles to Gilbert. Holy smokes what a great time. River flow was perfect too. Didn’t have to paddle unless you really wanted to. We pulled over several times on the river rock banks to stretch or eat. What a beautiful river!! Going to do this again for sure. Probably this summer when you can float and swim. I can’t recommend this enough! If you like the outdoors this is a MUST!!

After months of planning our trip to Mt. Judea, we quickly noticed all the outfitters were not in use. Unknown to us there had been very little rain that had all the river levels way down. We inquired in town and were told how bad it had been and no one was running trips. The 5th day of our visit i checked the internet and found BRO advertising that they were still floating. I called Friday night 10 minutes before they closed and was able to get 2 canoes for the next morning. Upon arrival it was a quick check in and we were on our way to the drop off point. We took the 6 hour trip (recommended by the staff) and had a ball. We brought our dog on our trip, but did not inquire prior to leaving. There were other floaters that did bring their dogs, so if you have them, bring them. Don't forget your picnic or snacks either. Plenty of places to pull off and relax. One more thing on the 6 hour trip. About 45 minutes in, look to the right for the for the rope swing. We didn't do it, but the people were having a lot of fun on it. Scenery was great and we stopped to swim a couple of times before finishing the day in about 51/2 hours. Bus was waiting for us and we were back to our car in about 10 minutes. Don't pass up this opportunity when visiting the area.
