This really is a pretty nice resort, but I can’t give it 4 stars. The resort is clean and the grounds are nice. The food selection is great in the buffets, in fact very large, the seating area in the main buffet is kind of limited. We actually had an issue finding a spot to sit, which was odd given how big the building is. The actual restaurants are pretty small with limited seating, even as privileged members we were unable to secure reservations for the steakhouse or the Japanese restaurant. I was unimpressed with the Mexican food restaurant, the food came out and it was cold. The Italian restaurant was decent, but it was a long wait and the people were semi rude. I put our family of 4 on the waiting list and was told 45 mins, I went back about 45 mins later and I was told it would be another 45 mins, which obviously didn’t sit well. The restaurants don’t open until 6 and close at 11, so every person wanting to eat dinner has to eat in a small window of time. The front desk people were not exceptionally helpful and we were greeted by someone from H10 as soon as we walked out the door after checking in. BEWARE. H10 is a time share presentation! They will offer to take you to your room and then pick you up for breakfast the next morning! Little do you know, a rep from H10 will sit with you and then bring you next door for the presentation. These people will tell you it’s not a time share but it certainly is, we have into the presentation and after doing more research cancelled our membership. Aside from that the grounds are beautiful. The pool is very nice, but there are not enough chairs for people and guests go out early in the am to reserve chairs...... and then never seem to use them. The beach, although small, is gorgeous. We did have an issue the second night we were there, we walked in our room and there were hundreds of bugs crawling on our dresser. We asked to be switched to another room and were told no. At first we were told it wasn’t a big deal, after pushing for an hour about getting switched rooms we were instead told that someone would be sent out to exterminate the bugs. An hour and a half later a cleaning lady who spoke zero English came out with a very small spray can to spray the bugs. It definitely wasn’t handled the way we thought it should have been. If you go durin spring break be prepared for obnoxious guests late at night. Overall a decent resort, we would visit again knowing what to expect.

Just got back from Spring Break there. The property is overall well maintained, but tired in some areas. Upgraded to the privilege package, which got us a nicer room than others in our party, and was closer to the beach. By "nicer" I only mean more "updated," since it had the same floor plan as other standard rooms we saw, but was actually quite nice (the view looked out to a back road and fence, but we didn't really mind it). The standard rooms we saw while there definitely looked like they needed some updates though. The food was better than I expected, and there are lots of dining options. Would have like to see more beer options than just El Presidente. Even with the privilege package, craft beers were still at an additional price, which I wasn't crazy about having to pay. Service just seemed a little slow across the board - whether it was the restaurants, coffee at breakfast, concierge staff, or even transportation (transportation we used was not the resort's own people though), but I'm going to attribute that to "Dominican Time," where things just seem to move at a slower pace. All in all, it's a nice resort, but you get what you pay for, and I thought it was probably somewhere between average and very good, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt "very good." The pools, beach, and all the restaurants are all very nice (the piano bar was a sneaky good highlight), and everyone in our group had a great time.

One of their issues we found is with the the Wi-Fi. Spotty coverage, went in and out, always needing to re-connect, no service in certain areas, etc. Would be nice if they upgraded this. Also, anyone looking for fitness amenities is probably going to be disappointed. The small fitness room does have some weights and machines, but only had one functioning treadmill (of the 2 total) the two times I went in there. From the lack of activity I noticed in the casino, it seems to me that building could be re-purposed as a nice fitness facility.

We returned from OBS on March 3rd, 2018. OBS exceeded all of our expectations. EVERYTHING was fantastic!!!!! The room, all of the staff, entertainment, food/ restaurants, drinks, beach. Nothing to complain about .... We had a great vacation and met some wonderful new friends. Thank you OBS for everything!!! We cant wait to return. #2019

My family and I went to Oceans blue H10 Property in April 2018. Our 14 year old went back to the room only to open the door to find a male in our room. This male "claimed" to be security and that he was checking our mini fridge to make sure we had enough water and soda. She tired to leave the room and he told her she could not. He then used the room phone and called someone and then left the room. I she told me what happened, I returned to the room and safe was standing open and $500 USD was gone. He did not take anything else and just enough cash that we may have over looked it. Turns out 2 other families with us also lost money from their rooms, all within 30 minutes of this incident. My daughter pointed this male out to us the next day and he was an employee of the Hotel. Making a complaint was useless, and we didn't want to be looking over our shoulder the last 2 days of our vacation. Besides this place needs a MAJOR makeover, all the food and restaurants close at 10. The H10 employees hound you constantly to upgrade every day to premium package and if you don't, they treat you like dirt! NEVER going back to this place!!!!!!!!!

the beach is hype, bars hype, the beack is the move. Everyone that works here is the . Especially jefferson, jorge, wilfred and coffee black s/o for the fast drinks. Definetly the move for a spring break
