One of the priciest hotels in Cagayan de Oro. This is my second time to review Luxe Hotel. Service was again good, all the staff were very helpful.

As before, room quality was high - from amenities to bed comfort to cleanliness. The wifi has improved, that is a plus for those traveling on business. If you will frequent the place, it may be good for your CdO-based office to get a corporate room rate.

Rooms come with free buffet breakfast and as before, a wide selection. The food quality and taste has markedly improved though.

Luxe Hotel is located at the Limketkai Mall, and has a convenient access to the Limketkai walkway at the 2F.

We choose this hotel because of it's good reviews and "luxe" name that was associated with it. I honestly had high expectations.

Hotel is already a bit rundown, had an old hotel feel ( similar to a hotel in the 80's). Rooms are clean and aircon was perfectly working.Amenities are so so for its price of 8000 a night. Slippers are paper thin. Bathroom shower head needs to be cleaned and hot water pressure needs to be checked. Stayed for 3 nights and was not able to enjoy a hot shower after a long day. Shower bathroom floor needs to be cleaned as it was slimy and slippery ( algae?molds?).

Rooms come with complimentary breakfast. They offered different options during our 3 day stay. Beef is very soft and bread selection was delish. Service was lacking and lighting in the restaurant can be improved.

I really appreciate their gym. It was big, clean and had complete and high end machines.

The hotel is walking distance from limketkai mall and other food establishments which is convenient.

I really appreciate the people in Cagayan as they are very friendly and soft-spoken.

Would I stay here again?probably not as I would like to explore newer hotels around the area. The price of 8000 per night is very steep for the kind of ambiance it offers.

Followers of my posts will recall I was somewhat scathing of what Limketkai Luxe had become ... from an amazing hotel when it first opened to a not very nice experience in following years. Well, I'm delighted to announce, the old Limketkai Luxe we loved so much when it first opened is back !!! Congratulations to what we believe to be the new management.

I cannot speak highly enough of "the new" Limketkai. Their service is exceptional (a special thank you to our waitress, Mary Grace, who remembered us from all those years ago and our room attendant, Ken De La Rita - both amazing employees deserving of special mention). Interesting to note is that all staff we spoke to thought highly of their supervisors and management. That is one big compliment!

We stayed at Limketkai Luxe from October 23 2019 to November 5 2019. As we had two teenage children, we had two rooms. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and kept that way during our stay thanks to Ken. During our stay, breakfast was consistently good and plentiful. It was nice to have a small variance on a day to day basis.

During our stay we also took advantage of a family gathering poolside - again, staff were excellent and tables positioned next to the pool exactly as requested. Food and drink very reasonably priced - a nice surprise as hotels of this stature often charge 'an arm and a leg'. We also took advantage of an all-you-can-eat buffet and invited family to share with us - all 18 of us. Again, exceptional service; more than enough food and all of a very high standard.

Limketkai Luxe is well located with SM Mall and Limketkai Mall right next door and Centrio a short walk or three minute taxi ride. Jollibbee, a kids favourite, is downstairs as is a pharmacy (take the lift to the 2nd floor and exit). Starbucks and several excellent restaurants can also be accessed within a five minute walk from the 2nd floor exit.

We are regular travellers and usually stay in the same accomodation when revisiting. It was delightful to see Limketkai return to it's old self and rest assured, "we will be back" :)
