I spent my pre-birthday weekend celebration at Taal Vista last Saturday. Booked 2 superior rooms for me and my family. Check in was smooth (though we arrived around past 3PM) and the one who assisted us to the hotel was pleasant. It was our first time staying there and was amazed how big it was. Listing down the +s and -s that we've experienced for your reference: (+) -We're able to book connecting rooms so we enjoyed going in and out of the 2 rooms without the hassle of going out from the main door. -a complimentary birthday cake was waiting for me when we reached the room which I thought was thoughtful. -Rooms were sealed and tagged as fully disinfected and only opened when we arrived. That made us more comfortable despite the covid situation. -Superior rooms were big enough and well-ventilated. Basic things (such as toiletries, disinfecting kit, coffee and tea) were available inside. Bottled water was not provided but there were water dispensers located outside so still convenient. -Fast wifi connection. The weather was not that good during our visit hence we stayed most of the time inside the room. Since wifi connection is good, we were able to enjoy it more. -Food in the restaurant (Veranda but we ordered ala carte) were really good especially the seafood pasta and hawaiian pizza. -Employees were mostly nice but one person that stood us the most was Joel. The morning after, he was also the one who assisted my PWD father in the swimming pool and went out of his way to ensure my father is comfortable.

-One of the girl waitresses at the Veranda restaurant was rude when we asked her about the available table that we can occupy. We were able to reserve a table for our dinner in advance however we learned that ala carte Veranda restaurant is different from the Veranda buffet restaurant. So what I did was asked her politely if the reservation can be considered as well at the ala carte restaurant. When she replied, her tone was annoying as if we were demanding her to get a table for us. We patiently waited until a table was granted to us. I get that Saturday night is really busy at the hotel especially those at the restaurant but appreciate if employees were still kind enough to treat their customers with respect.
-Mountain wing rooms are far from the main lobby (though you can still park your car just infront of that part) and I find it not PWD and senior friendly. One plus is just you are near the swimming pool.

Overall:
A good stay and will definitely come back but please be kinder to your guests.More
