View is gorgeous both night and day, from many locations in the hotel, including the lobby, pool, and the resto.
Food is excellent quality, including dinner and the breakfast buffet. There is entertainment at night. The breakfast includes a fine selection of Filipino dishes as well as a salad bar, eggs to order, etc. Only missing some decent breads and pastries (there's a toaster but no bread!) , beyond just the Pandesal varieties that are offered.
The room is a good size with a pleasant balcony in every room, and has very comfortable bedding. A kettle is provided in the room, but you have to request and wait for cups and coffee making packets (low quality) to be delivered. This may be a COVID hangover?... it seems unnecessary and cheap move for a 4 star hotel.
The shower is awesome. I do really dislike the endless bottles (plastic waste - 10 tiny bottles). Please consider moving to dispensers like international chains are now moving to for some time. The amenities though overall are generous. A fan and aircon are available, not were not needed in November.
Service throughout is excellent - you are greeted everywhere by all staff. Best in Philippines I've experienced.
This hotel opened in 2016, with a bold and novel architectural design maximizing the use of the stunning lake view. It is just starting to show some minor wear and tear, with a few patches to the outside walls and paint, worn decking around the pool, etc. Also an ugly corner with rubbish piled up - the windows at the end of the floors. But this is very minimal so far. I hope they have a program and budget to repaint and maintain..... at the prices charged, this should be affordable.
Can't wait to stay again!
