“Celebration and Staycation at Estancia Resort”
Reviewed May 5, 2016

Estancia Resort Hotel was our venue for our small holiday celebration. Located in the heart of Tagaytay, this hotel is a pleasant spacious place that instantly stunned us because of its Greek-inspired architecture. It also has breathtaking view of the Taal Lake. With these things about the hotel, I think there was no more argument needed why to choose this place while in Tagaytay. It has the perfect site and beautiful overlooking.

We stayed in a Santorini Villa. The room was air-conditioned. It has private bath and toilet. It has two single beds. In-room amenities also include cable TV and mini bar. Too bad, there was no Wi-Fi connection in our room. Guests can only connect to Internet at the lobby.

We stayed at the Santorini Room for 5500 (including tax) for a twin bed room.
The view is exhilarating especially when you wake up in the morning and see Taal lake/ volcano. But the room itself is just average. You are practically paying just for the view. Btw, includes a simple breakfast for two.

The place has its pros and cons.
For the pros:
You have free use of amenities such as the pool and entertainment room.
You can also use the sauna and jacuzzi for one hour, for free.
The sauna is excellent.
Staff are friendly.

For the cons:
The place is a little bit old.
The jacuzzi isn't well maintained-- and the water in the jacuzzi is dirty smells terrible.
The way to the Santorini rooms/ villa has a foul smell as well. I dont know where it comes from.

Room Tip: To get a view of Taal, choose the Santorini rooms

The hotel has a good location as near the highway with ample parking areas. You can also see the beautiful 360 degrees view of Taal Lake. If you book in Santorini or Nipa Hut Rooms, prepare yourself to a long walk before reaching your room, there’s a golf cart though but you need to wait for the driver. Price of the Santorini Room is way too high, better to book in their newly renovated deluxe room with the garden view. The vicinity/facility areas are not well maintained so lower your expectations when you book in this hotel. The foods that they serve were just ordinary. However, they have their own indoor & outdoor pool (not heated), sauna, and billiards or activity area. Wi-Fi is only working near the restaurant or lobby areas. This hotel for me is too overrated. If you are willing to pay for the view rather than comfort, then choose this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose their new deluxe additional rooms rather than the far Santorini rooms. It still has view of t...

We opted for this hotel because of its lavish white walls and picture worthy reception area. However we had trouble bringing in our baby & stuff because guests have no choice but to go through confusing stairs. It's inconvenient to use the trolly. One time, we even ended up crashing into the debut upstairs! Theme isn't consistent; inside, there are some buildings that are more Italian looking than Greek.

We choice this place to have out team building and workshop. At first from outside you would think the place is small, however after going down the winding driveway you will notice the place is quite large and constantly being expanded. They have a pool however is not heated so on cold days, swimming is out unless you have the cold tolerance of an otter. They have a rec hall with bollards, table tennis and Foose ball. Mobile signal quality is quite poor in the function area and rooms. Wifi is only avaliable at the reception area. The rooms are okay, clean and no funny odor. Water heater is not that good though and the aircon is quite old. Sleep quality is okay. The flat-screen has cable channels. The customer service is okay.
