The hotel rooms are organised like little villas around the site connected with illuminated paths. The heart of the complex is the outdoor eating area shaded by an ancient tree (where two owls live). You can sit on your veranda to watch the sunset or move over to a cocktail bar or a swinging seat in the garden. If you get up early you can see the sunrise at breakfast, or the staff will advise you where to go for the perfect sunrise and sunset photos.

The staff were super obliging and the rooms clean and spacious. My villa looked over the eating area and had a massive walk-in shower area, a safe in the room, efficient air con and a TV (although i never swiched it on). There is a pool which seems to be the coldest thing in the area and a spa for treatments.

i did get a bit of noise - things like generators kicking in in the morning and people moving around. It wasnt annoying or too loud in my opinion.

The location is right behind the archaeological museums (a must visit) and walking or riding distance to all the temples. Hiring an e bike is fun and easy. If you like a risk there is a slightly cheaper rental just outside the hotel.

Breakfast was varied across asian and european options with fresh omletes made to order.

This is not a corporate hotel so there is a bit of shabby chic about the place, but so so clean. Also loads of lovely details in the room baskets with useful things in them and little boxes for the sewing kit and so on. The free product is about 7/10 so pretty good.

This is a place with character where I felt indulged relaxed and happy, there is is sense of place and th staff cannot do enough.

Prices for laundry approx 2 dollars an item, 5 dollars a cocktail. There is a cash machine on site which worked with my UK bank card.

I woudl go back in a heartbeat - i was sad from the second i left.

Do yourself a favor and stay here! The staff is so nice and helpful, the location is simply the best and the rooms are great! There is a restaurant there which was great, we ate there everyday and the breakfast in the morning was soooo good!! We also loved hanging out at the pool and hit up the spa a few times. It was heaven!

We had a beautiful 3 nights here at this hotel and absolutely loved the gardens and the amazing 100 year old Acadia trees there. The trees attract all different types of bird life as well as chipmunks that like to scoot around and chase each other. It kept me entertained for hours. These trees overhang the dining area next to the river and it is so nice to watch the sun go down with a cocktail and watch the river life go by. The hotel is well positioned near the Museum and a beautiful temple and markets close by. Totally recommend a stay here.

Very good location right behind the Irrawady River. We stayed at the garden view bungalow room and the room was spacious and lovely. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was superb and dinner with puppet show was amazing experience for us. Definitely recommend.

The Hotel is beautifully locateted in a nice garden. The Restaurant is sheltered by a huge tree and has a wonderful riverview. We had a Bungalow directly located at the river which had a splendid view. The room was quite large and the bed comfortable. You have to decide weather you want to have a great view or a quiet surrounding. There is a lot of traffic on the river and the engines of the boats ore really noisy. As the fishermen start working at 4:30 in the morning it was for the two of us disturbing. But you have the choice to take a less expensive room in the garden.
The breakfast was good, the service friendly. We had one dinner in the restaurant which was ok but nothing really special. The pool Area is nice, but the water of the pool was during those days not really inviting to me. The Hotel is absolutely centrally located in Old Bagan and within minutes you can reach the historical sites. We liked that a lot.
