We stopped by Holmasaig Gallery and were astonished by the number and variety of pictures which Margarita Williams had on display. Ranging from delicate flowers to seascapes to daunting rocks and sea birds in a wide variety of mediums, we were left to browse without pressure and can't rate the experience highly enough.

Chatty and friendly artist will show you round her work. Loved the paintings of the bog cotton and the moody images of St Kilda. Worth stopping by to check it out.

We happended upon this little gallery whilst driving around the coastal road on Harris. Margarita welcomed us into her home and told us about her inspiration for her paintings. We bought a wonderful, vibrant watercolour of a cotton grass flower, which now has pride of place in our home. A beautiful reminder of our trip to this lovely island!

We were honeymooning in the Hebrides touring in a rented VW camper. We stopped at lots of art galleries along the way. We found Margarita's house on a hill enchanting and we loved that the art was accessible due to the amount if card-prints available. We bought a lot of them and are enjoying sending people Hebridean scenes. Thank you!!

Margarita was a great guide tor her gallery. We really loved her work, so much so that we bought a painting!

From the outside it is a very understated gallery, a small house hugging the landscape with amazing views out over the sea. The Harris landscape is one of the most dramatic we have ever visited and Margarita's watercolours captured it perfectly.

This was definitely the best gallery that we visited in Harris.
