Porlock Weir is beautiful but tiny and as a couple of places have obviously closed down, this pub is one of the few places to eat there. You open the door and step into a warm hive of atmosphere that allows dogs (a big yesssss from me!) with a characterful bar and some real local characters. We sat in the window for food twice and were very impressed. We sampled steak, omelette, vegetarian cottage pie and a pie and all the meals were great value for money and tasty. The pub is child friendly too (just be mindful when you go in though as it was much louder towards the evening) with high chairs. My partner liked the beers on tap and you can see the sea a short distance away so the views are lovely. They have rooms there too so you can stay B and B there if you want to.

Thank Debbie H

Stopped for a pint and lunch after walking out to the beach. Comprehensive food menu and some lovely ciders on offer - the pint of Rich's was perfect. Crab sandwich very filling - good plate of nachos too - very reasonably priced. Very busy but found a table. Dogs very welcome. A great pub with lovely staff and felt very welcome. Will return - would love to stay over.

Porlock Weir is a lovely village and this pub is a very nice part of it. We visited just the week before Easter and I’m so glad that we did. There was a nice crowd of walkers and doggy people but we got a table easily and had a very nice lunch. I wouldn’t want to go there during the season though as the access is via single track roads and the tourist traffic would make it horrible.

Always busy, ideal for walkers. Right on the harbour, dogs welcome. Extensive menu for both lunchtime and evening.

Never tire of this charming pub. Assured of a warm and friendly welcome. Lunch time time favourite has to be a bacon, brie and cranberry baguette but Friday evenings fresh fish and chips is a must. I just love the setting.
