A very pleasant surprise!! A delightful stay in a more than adequate room. Spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast served by a young girl with a lovely smile. The owner was very helpful and polite. We would definitely return, excellent value for money.

This is a lovely old fashioned but welcoming country pub in a lovely seaside location. We stopped for a bite of lunch and a drink, (mine soft and hubby's not so soft). The chips were lovely and well cooked and my jacket potato was hot and tasty. We were going to eat in the little café on the harbour but it only did sandwiches, which I don't tend to eat. We also looked at the harbourside pub but it was very busy so we tried the George. So glad we did. It's years since I visited Staithes but hopefully it won't be as long until our next visit.

Only went in once during our visit but from that experience and other peoples comments we wish we had eaten there again. The place was welcoming with pleasant staff also dog friendly. The interior was clean warm an comfortable. We had the best crab sandwiches ever, served with chips and salad all excellent. Will be calling again on our next visit.

As it was late afternoon my husband had a fresh crab sandwich which was served with chips and salad. I had a tuna mayo salad with chips and salad, both delicious, my husbands brother had fish and chips as did his wife. Great food, pleasant surroundings and friendly bar staff
