Hello Emma B
Thank you for amending your original review that provides more context, however, we would like to highlight our guest room allocation guidelines for weddings at our hotel.
When couples make a reservation for their wedding they are invited to block a number of rooms for their family, friends and other invited guests. The wedding you are invited to is no different.
On securing their desired number of guest rooms couples are then supplied with an access code which allows their invited guests to book from a selection of accommodation options that is most suitable for them. This includes family rooms, mixed ability rooms, multiple night stays and options to purchase with or without breakfast.
Couples share this access code with their guests who can then proceed to make their reservation.
The wedding you are attending has already booked out all their required allocation of rooms. On completing their wedding booking, couples outline clearly the number of guest rooms they require. Clearly the couple in question shared the access code in advance of issuing their invitations and guests proceeded to book. This is a decision at the discretion of the couple and the hotel does not inhibit access to the room stock via the code once published. Unfortunately, additional rooms not included in the wedding block on the date you are attending have already been booked out prior to your call with us. Therefore, all we can offer you at the moment is to place you on our cancellation list or provide contact details for hotels in close proximity to us.
We look forward to welcoming you to the hotel in September.
Sincerely, all the team at Cork’s Vienna Woods Hotel.
