This Inn was such a pleasant surprise! I planned our Sedona trip later than I usually put plans together, so the room type I asked for was not available when I made the reservation. At check-in, the Manager upgraded our room & we were so comfortable there! Recently renovated, comfortable beds, lovely room, detailed comfort, you could tell someone really thought through all the appointments. It even had a TV channel guide and every room door was screened from the parking lot by its own front porch and also had a cushioned love seat to enjoy the beautiful Sedona Red Rock view. The air conditioner, refrigerator, microwave and mini coffee maker worked great. One of the best things about the Inn was being just next door to the gorgeous Tlaquepaque market.

Room is pretty small but who cares? Who goes to Sedona to sit in a room? Very clean. Comfortable beds. Housekeeping came every day. Fast, friendly, informative check in. Patio with super soft furniture and views to die for !!! Superb location. Walking distance to everything.

Sedona Hilltop Inn was no frills but clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Location is perfect - walking distance to restaurants and shops. The public patio has a beautiful view. Note: the office closes at 9:00pm so if you will be late arrival, make plans accordingly.

Thank you Mollygir for taking the time to write us a review. Yes our office does close at 9pm but we do have a late arrival procedure so that our guests can still check in after hours. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Sedona.

When we first checked in, I wasn't so sure about this hotel. It is obviously an old roadside hotel that has been refurbished, and that is very clear in spots such as the bathroom. Everything is clean and well-kept but it definitely does not have a modern vibe. I didn't love that there was a tiny window in the bathroom - the type you always see criminals squeezing out of in movies/tv shows. It was kept locked though, so no real worries there. The sink area is in the main room rather than behind a closed door in the bathroom, which does leak light/sound into the bedroom if someone is sleeping (although it is at least behind a wall, which does block some light/sound). On the plus side, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location with gorgeous views from every angle! We ended up really enjoying our stay here.

The Inn's location is prime, walkable to everything; however while the views are incredible and the exterior is very well kept, the hotel is way outdated and we were very disappointed with our stay for the price we paid. We stayed four nights and it was $1300. The room was outdated (even down to the buckled carpeting), our TV stopped working during our stay, the room smelled like an old smoking room, there were no amenities except an ice machine, the water pressure in the shower was non-existent (at one point while I was showering the water just stopped completely), we weren't told that the rooms were only cleaned every three days until we asked why our room wasn't made up the following day and kept having to go to the front desk to ask for clean towels and coffee/cups/glasses refills, the walls were so thin we could hear the conversations in the rooms on either side of us. The staff we interacted with (Michael and Linda) were nice and helpful when you had questions. The lobby is the nicest part of the hotel. Pictures were deceiving. If you're looking for a quick night's stay to do some hiking and move on I'd recommend. If you're looking for luxury with available amenities, hard pass.

Thank you Jarrod for taking the time to write us a review. We are indeed a small boutique hotel within walking distance to all of the Uptown Sedona attractions as well as hiking trails. I am sorry that there was some confusion involving what amenities we have. Our website is very clear on this as well as all of the third party reservation websites. The demand to stay in Sedona has reached new levels with people ready to do anything to stay here. On top of that when you chose to stay it was in the busiest travel season for Sedona and Arizona in general for that matter. Every single hotel, Airbnb, cabin, RV parking spot, camp site and anywhere you could pull over to camp had been completely full driving up the cost of everything. Then you factor in Covid-19 and the staffing shortages for all Sedona businesses, which has put crazy pressure on the remaining people who are and have been working this entire time. All of these factors have driven up the cost of everything in Sedona and the rest of the country. We were following the nation wide hotel covid-19 limited contact housekeeping policies designed to protect and prevent our guests from illness. This was not something we decided to do to inconvenience our guests like you are alluding to in your review and you know this because you were informed about this twice while staying with us. The towel and water conservation policy that you are talking about in your review was instituted years ago because we are a green hotel that wants to conserve water in our desert region as much as we can. That has nothing to do with the limited contact housekeeping policy to protect our guests from potential illness that was implemented all over the world after the pandemic began. We have a water conservation card in the room, explaining our policies to try to be as green as possible. I cannot help but think some of the things that you wrote in your review are more creative writing on your part and not actual truth. It is impossible for the water to shut off at your room without shutting off the water for the entire property. We have never in our 20 years of being in Sedona ever heard of such a thing, it is ridiculous to even have to counter this claim. As for the TV issue that you experienced after you disconnected the HDMI cable from the cable TV box, I am glad that Michael was able to assist you in plugging it back into the TV again. I hope in the future you find places to stay that accommodate your views and needs.
