Bell Rock is a stunning geological formation along the Red Rock Scenic Byway (SR 179) that is one of those things that makes Sedona so special. Bell Rock Pathway is the best way to see Bell Rock and the surrounding scenery. The parking lot for the pathway is just past the Village of Oak Creek on the right hand side. Be aware that parking is limited and the shopping centers in Oak Creek do not want hikers using their parking lots for pathway parking.
It is very easy to fund the entrance to the pathway - the entrance is clearly marked. The pathway itself is a fairly easy 3.5 mile dirt trail. The views get more and more amazing as you go on. Take plenty of water and sunscreen, dress appropriately and listen for bikes coming in both directions. It was in the 70's the day we were there but it felt hotter - it wouldn't take long for sunburn to set in without protection.
There is plenty of food and supplies in the nearby Village of Oak Park and you will find amazing espresso and coffee at Oak Creek Espresso.
The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a quick drive from the Bell Rock Pathway trailhead and it is quite easy to see both plus Tlaqupaque or Uptown Sedona in one day.
