Pro’s
1. Great location, a quick stroll into town (I don’t know who was so lazy as to claim it’s far. It’s not). Also, fantastic view. Really can’t beat it.
2. Staff are really helpful and speak several languages well, they’re more than happy to do whatever is necessary to try to help you plan your stay.
3. The food at the restaurant is great and the guy that cooks it is even better. I’m not sure what his name is, but he has a beard and usually wears a trucker hat. Super jolly guy who remembered me every time he saw me, always said hello and was more than happy to give us a recommendation. Made the experience welcoming and pleasant, will always fill your wine glass well!
4. Heated. Floors.
5. The dogs.
The dogs are the best part of this place, there are so many and they are all so friendly!!!!! They hang out outside and won’t bother you, but if you want some company on a walk around town, they will happily go with you. They aren’t supposed to go inside, but a couple of them know how to open the doors and let themselves in. There is one black one with a white patch on her chest (most likely a lab mix) that is the absolute best, she likes to sleep by the fire. Adds a great family feeling to the place.

6. Family friendly and accommodates a wide range of ages.
Cons:
A few other people complained about noise, and I will say that’s a downside. There doesn’t seem to be much soundproofing between the rooms, and sound carries pretty badly here. There were plenty of older couples, families with young children staying here and some of the louder backpackers (party types) didn’t have much respect for others staying there. I can’t fault the hostel for it, but if you plan on bringing children or are a light sleeper, I would maybe come prepared for that. More
