We stayed at this hotel which is in downtown San Rafael. The lobby looked OK... but that's it. The parking is extremely tight and beware of drug addicts trying to get your keys to show you how to enter the garage. The room itself was concrete with a gray ceiling. The tiles on the floor had grime between them. So much that I don't think they have ever been scrubbed. There was hair all over the bathroom and the curtain was disgusting with grime, soap and mold. Everything had grime on it, cables, doors, soap holders. The internet NEVER worked. We tried for 90 minutes to load one page in the evening and another 90 minutes in the morning. The front desk said "It works, it's not our fault and there is nothing we can do." We hardly slept (the interior walls are thin). We woke up at 5am and left at 6:30. We didn't dare eat breakfast in this dirty place.
Also, nobody at all speaks English.More
