Checking in was very underwhelming. After reading a lot of reviews regarding parking, I made sure to ask for valet service. Surprise! They don't have any.
I requested for a non-smoking room knowing this was part of a casino and I had kids with me. What I got was a smoking room that was converted to a non-smoking room. It's great they fully disclosed, but maybe they shouldn't have in this case as I immediately got a feeling this was going to be a mistake choosing Nuwa. In fairness, I checked out the room and the room (deluxe double) was more than decent. You could smell smoke in the hallway though especially when some of the neighboring doors open.
We were fortunate to know some people who are connected there and once they found out our experience, we were able to change rooms. I was quite surprised at their creativity given they ran out of deluxe doubles. From then on, our experience there was really awesome.
Breezes - A la carte breakfast was decent. More importantly, it is beside the pool. So we had breakfast here, stayed around the pool for a few hours, then had lunch here.
Pool - Saltwater pool. Heated Jacuzzi. Private cabanas are available for a price.
Crystal Dragon - Must try the shrimp rice roll. Most popular item.
Spa - Dry/wet/steam sauna available. Has a lounge as well with complementary dried fruits/water
I agree with some of the other reviews in that their service can really be improved upon. Service shouldn't have to come down to who you chance upon in the property. I don't think that's part of the casino experience.
